Organisation
The structure of NETLIB is networked based. There is a central executive body that serves as the “central hub” and “spine” to the rest of the other committees. This central body has a coordinating and controlling role. Each committee develops a plan within the general framework of NETLIB main program. The executive body is responsible for approving plans before they are executed. However, when the urgency arises short-term projects that have minimum risks will be carry out by the committee without formal approval of the executive body. But, the executive body will at all times be informed of all such decisions by the sub-committees, before the project starts. Each committee is headed by a committee chairperson. The Committee chairperson participates in the executive board meetings on invitation. A program manager, a person that heads specific projects or a number of related projects, participates in a committee coordination team for which he executes projects.NETLIB also has country chapters. These chapters operate within the framework structure and key principles of NETLIB. A country chapter is headed by a NETLIB country representative; usually a Liberian resident in the country where the chapter is stationed.
