Sponsorloop voor project van Netlib


In juni 2006 hebben kinderen van de openbare basisschool Stapvoorde in Almelo zich bij een sponsorloop ingezet om geld in te zamelen. Het project van Netlib, de ambachtschool in Liberia was één van de goede doelen. Met veel plezier en inzet hebben de kinderen meer dan 5000 euro's ingezameld, waarbij het project van Netlib een derde van het bedrag kreeg, wat neerkwam op een bedrag van 1780 euro. Waarvoor hartelijk dank voor de kinderen en de school voor de organisatie.



Liberiaanse Dag met cultuur en tradities


Op 26 november 2005 is in de school De Heemgaard een Liberiaanse dag gehouden met cultuur en tradities. Helaas waren er door het slechte weer, veel sneeuw en daardoor files en vertragingen, beduidend minder bezoekers dan verwacht. Voor degenen die wel gekomen zijn was het een geslaagde dag met zang, dans, voordrachten en presentaties waarbij we genoten hebben van de Liberianen, hun tradities met zang, dans en eten.

Voor de sponsoring van NETLIB was het dus slecht vanwege de geringe opkomst, maar we hopen dat degenen die niet in staat waren om de dag te bezoeken, toch een bijdrage willen geven om de projecten die NETLIB wil uitvoeren, te ondersteunen.
